Mixed Philosophy Approach
Why choose just one philosophy? This is the question we asked ourselves when we began creating Young Minds Learning Academy. We feel that with multiple types of learning styles, personalities, and behaviors of children, one single philosophy is not what is best for all children. We decided to create our “Mixed Philosophy Approach”. The mixed philosophy approach allows us to pick and choose elements from a variety of philosophies. This way we can meet the needs of all of our different children with a balanced approach, incorporating both free exploration and structure. Throughout our preschool day we incorporate elements from an Academic Philosophy, Developmental Philosophy, Reggio Philosophy, and Play-Based Philosophy. At Young Minds Learning Academy, we believe in creating a wide range of developmentally appropriate activities to allow the “whole child” to grow.

We believe that children learn best through hands-on experiences. At Young Minds we provide an environment that promotes active exploration and creativity.
SOCIALIZATION
Our goal at Young Minds Preschool is to create an environment that provides the children with endless opportunities for interaction with peers where the children learn to accept and appreciate differences among individuals.
ART BASED
PROJECTS
At Young Minds Preschool art is a fundamental element to our program. You will find different forms of art throughout the preschool day. We pride ourselves on promoting 100% child created art projects.
HIGH TEACHER INTERACTION
We pride ourselves on the high level of interaction that occurs between the teachers and the children. The teachers spend the majority of their day on the same level as the children communicating, guiding, questioning, facilitating, and problem solving with the children.
